Here is what the distance actually means for a job in each part of the Island.
Everything inside roughly half an hour of Charlottetown. A job out here is a normal working day: on site in the morning, back again the same week if something needs a second look, and the driving is not really part of the quote.
The run along the north shore, from Rustico across to Malpeque. Half an hour to an hour out depending how far along you go, and a lot of it is summer property, which changes when a job wants doing more than it changes the job itself.
Montague out to Souris runs from about forty minutes to an hour from Charlottetown. Far enough that a day out here gets planned as a day out here rather than fitted around something in town, which usually means fewer visits and a schedule agreed further ahead.
Past Summerside is the longest run on the Island. Small jobs out this way get fitted into a batch of work in the same area rather than run as their own trip. On a larger project the travel stops mattering, because we are around for a few days at least.
The list above is where the work has actually been. Outside it we travel the whole Island, so if your town is not named here it is still a job we will come and look at. That includes Victoria, Miscouche, Alberton and Tignish.
