Another one: a Charlottetown basement that was completely unfinished, where the homeowners wanted a functional living space with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry area. We handled the project from start to finish, including plumbing, insulation, framing and all the finishing work, while carefully planning the layout to make the best use of the available space.
The finished basement exceeded the homeowners' expectations, and they were very happy with the result.
Most of downtown is older buildings, and in an older house you are not sure what is behind the walls or underneath the existing floor until you open it up. Floors are not level, walls are not straight, and the electrical and plumbing are older.
So a lot of the work on a Charlottetown job is preparing for the new product to go in. You cannot put a nice finished product on a bad surface and expect it to last.
