From durable tile for moisture-prone areas to laminate and luxury vinyl plank built for everyday family life, we install flooring to suit your space and lifestyle. With proper subfloor preparation and attention to detail, we deliver a smooth, professional finish designed to last.

When it comes to flooring, there are so many options. From Tile, Hardwood, Laminate & Luxury Vinyl, it can be very tricky to pick the right one for your space. New floors give your home a fresh look and can make a big difference in how a room feels.

What the job involves

A long-lasting floor starts with proper subfloor preparation. We make sure the foundation is ready before installation begins, helping prevent future issues and ensuring a quality finish. Project timelines vary depending on the size of the area and the flooring material selected.

New flooring was part of a kitchen refresh in North Rustico and a bathroom remodel in Cornwall.

Questions we get asked about new flooring

How long does flooring replacement take?
  • Laminate and vinyl: 1 to 2 days
  • Tile: 2 to 5 days (grouting and drying time)
  • Hardwood: 3 to 7 days (plus acclimation time)
What is the best flooring for high traffic areas?

Porcelain tile, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), and engineered hardwood are durable and easy to clean.

What is the best flooring for bathrooms and basements?
  • Waterproof options: porcelain tile, vinyl plank, and sealed concrete
  • Avoid: hardwood and carpet (prone to water damage and mold)
What flooring is best for homes with pets?
  • Scratch-resistant options: luxury vinyl, tile, and engineered hardwood.
  • Avoid: softwoods (pine, cherry) that scratch easily.

Hardwood

Solid or engineered, nailed or glued. It is the floor that lasts longest and the one that likes moisture least, so it belongs in living areas and bedrooms rather than bathrooms or basements. Hardwood needs to sit in the house for a few days before it goes down so it can settle to the humidity, which is why it takes longer than plank or laminate.

Glue-down carpet

Commercial glue-down carpet is a durable, low-profile flooring solution ideal for offices, retail spaces, and other high-traffic environments. Installed directly onto the subfloor, it provides a stable, professional finish that resists rippling and works well in areas with rolling office chairs. Proper subfloor preparation is essential, as the surface must be clean, dry, and level to ensure strong adhesion and long-term performance.

Stairs, installed or refinished

Stairs are a key detail that can make or break the look of your flooring. Whether installing new treads and risers to match your floors or sanding and refinishing existing stairs, we focus on consistent tread depth, clean edges, and precise finishing for a seamless, professional result from top to bottom.
